MACPPA (African Market for the Marketing of Fisheries and Aquaculture Products) is taking a new step in its deployment.
Indeed, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the headquarters of PSTACI (Strategic Program for the Transformation of Aquaculture in Ivory Coast) served as the setting for an important working and training session dedicated to MACPPA (African Market for the Marketing of Fisheries and Aquaculture Products), an innovative digital platform supported by INFOPÊCHE.
This strategic meeting brought together stakeholders in the fisheries sector around a common vision: to build a more modern, competitive, inclusive and connected African fishing and aquaculture industry that is responsive to the realities of the continental market.
During the discussions and practical demonstrations, participants were able to appreciate the full potential of MACPPA, including its ease of use, the diversity of products already listed, and its effectiveness in connecting producers, processors, retailers, and consumers. A true driver of economic transformation, this platform provides concrete solutions to the major challenges related to marketing, increasing the visibility of seafood products, and accessing market opportunities.
Through the progressive deployment of MACPPA in member states, INFOPÊCHE reaffirms its ambition to make digital a powerful engine of growth, empowerment of actors and economic sovereignty for the African fisheries sector.
